Come challenge yourself in physical fitness competitions while helping to raise money for a great cause! There will be male and female prizes in each event! Register for as many individual events as you would like,
see events below.
Registration is free but we would like to suggest a $5.00 donation (or any amount) to benefit THON on the event day. This event is open only to current PSU students, staff or faculty.
Event List Descriptions
Endurance (Male and Female awards for each event)
*Sit Ups- As many full sit-up reps as possible in 2 minutes
*Push Ups- As many reps as possible in 2 minutes
*Plank- Longest time elbow plank is held
*Vertical Reach- Highest vertical jump measured
*Chin Ups- As many reps as possible until failure
*Flexed Arm Hang - Longest time flexed arm hang is held
*Fastest Mile on Treadmill
Strength (Male and Female awards for each event)
*Bench Your Bodyweight- Most reps wins
*Squat Your Bodyweight- Most reps wins
*Bench- As many reps as possible (Male weight- 135lbs, Female weight- 65lbs)
*Squats- As many reps as possible (Male weight- 155lbs, Female weight- 85lbs)
*Bench Single Rep Competition- highest weight wins
*Weighted Wall-Sit - (Male weight- 45lbs, Female weight- 25lbs)
*Static Hold- Static olympic bar held for longest time (Male weight- 185 lbs, Female weight- 135lbs)
--Bodyweight will be rounded down to the nearest tenth (IE: if you weigh 201 lbs you would use 200 lbs during the event, weighing 204 lbs would euqal 205 lbs to lift.)
ENDURANCE GRAND PRIZE
Registrants who participate in ALL endurance events can qualify for our GRAND PRIZE. Each individual will accumulate points based on their individual results from each event. There will be one grand prize for both a male and female winner.
STRENGTH GRAND PRIZE
Registrants who participate in ALL strength events can qualify for our GRAND PRIZE. Each individual will accumulate points based on their individual results from each event. There will be one grand prize for both a male and female winner.
5 points for finishing first place in the event
3 points for finishing second place in the event
2 points for finishing third place in the event
1 point for participating in the event
0 points if you can not attempt the event
