GA Men's Basketball Remains in 5th Through Week Nine of USCAA Men's Basketball Division II Coaches Poll

Newport News, Va. - While finishing the regular season with a 20-5, 14-2 PSUAC overall record, the Penn State Greater Allegheny men's basketball team remained in fifth place in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Coaches Poll through week nine. 

Three Penn State University Athletic Conference victorties contributed to the coaches votes, as the men collected just four less than #1 Penn State York, 280-276.

The men started out with a 82-77 victory over Penn State New Kensington before swiping a 70-66 triumph over Penn State DuBois. The Lions ended their regular season at Penn State Beaver, as the men swiped a 75-59 win.

The men are now PSUAC play-off bound. Greater Allegheny (20-5, 14-2 PSUAC) not only leads the league in total wins on the season, the men sit number two in the Penn State University Athletic Conference, just behind #1 Penn State York (18-6, 15-1 PSUAC). The men receive a first-round bye and will play in the semi-finals on Saturday at #1 Penn State York on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is set at 1 p.m. against the winner of #6 Penn State Wilkes-Barre vs. #3 Penn State Schuylkill.
