Coach Odim to Represent PSUGA at Great Lakes Girls Multi College ID Camp

McKeesport, Pa. – On Friday December 29th, hundreds of high school and junior high soccer recruits will convene in Geneva, Ohio for the 2017 Great Lakes Girls Multi College ID Camp. PSUGA Head Soccer Coach Dale Odim has been selected as one of the many coaches from around the nation to provide coaching to these players and help them grow in the sport of soccer.

The Great Lakes Girls Multi College ID Camp has been ranked as the #1 college training camp in the nation with a little over 70% of its participants going on to play either NAIA or NCAA soccer. Through both on field training and mental preparation the camp provides athlete with everything they need to be ready to play soccer at the next level.

Coach Odim is very excited about the opportunity to get the chance to work with these young soccer recruits and bestow his knowledge of the game to them. Odim says he has already been in contact with some of the recruits and is looking to work on molding the future of PSUGA soccer.

“This is an opportunity for me to gain exposure and add credibility to the PSUGA soccer programs,” said Odim. “I will be able to network with other college programs and Junior High and High School Students. A few area students have already contacted me to introduce themselves and I look forward to meeting them.”

Coach Odim will be working with the recruits on the team aspect of the sport of soccer. He gets to work with groups of recruits in 7v7 games where he will be focusing on the team aspect of the game including positioning, balance, communication, attacking, and defending as a team.

Joining Odim at the camp will be many coaches from across all levels of NCAA and NAIA soccer. Some of the colleges that will be represented include Alabama, Florida, Auburn, Yale, and Miami. Odim will be watching these coaches very carefully and wants to take away some of their techniques to bring to PSUGA.

“I am looking forward to observing other coaches, especially some D1 coaches,” said Odim. “Ill be taking notes in regards to coaching style, how they communicate their assigned topics, and what drills/exercises they use.”
