University Park, Pa. - With their hard-work and dedication through the finish of the 2016-17 Penn State Greater Allegheny women's basketball season, junior guard Mandi Johnston (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) and freshman guard Ronnie Upsher (McKeesport, Pa./McKeesport) have been honored by the Penn State University Athletic Conference to be on the 2017 PSUAC Women's Basketball All-Conference awards list.
Johnston was named to the Second-Team All-Conference list after her third season with the blue-and-white. Mandi played in 22 games this season, averaging 34.4 minutes per game, 18 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game. With a total of 397 points, 106 rebounds, 72 assists, 34 steals and four blocks, the guard earned her 1,000th point in a Greater Allegheny jersey this season. Johnston cashed in for 78% (124-of-159) of her free-throws taken and points per game (18) while noting 34.5% (125-of-362) shots from the floor.
Mandi currently sits first in the PSUAC for completed free-throws (125) and second for free-throw percentage (78%).
After her first season with Greater Allegheny, freshman guard Ronnie Upsher (McKeesport, Pa./McKeesport) has been named to the PSUAC Honorable Mention list. Ronnie polished off a total of 340 points, 136 rebounds, 54 steals, 44 assists and 25 blocks while netting 62.5% (80-of-128) of her free-throws attempted along with 34.9% (125-of-358) from the floor.
