McKeesport, Pa. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny 2014-15 wrestling program begins the season looking for an improved year of competition.
"Our biggest improvement coming into the new season of competition will be numbers," said head coach Clay Karadus.
Greater Allegheny's squad welcomes eight newcomers, all seeing accomplishments at the high school level.
"This year, we are looking for men to appear in conference match-ups and compete," said coach Karadus. "We are looking to get competitors into National play, building on our achievements from previous seasons."
"I really look forward to seeing how freshmen Camden Anderson (Atlanta, Ga./Keystone Oaks) and Rodjrecko Christian (Pittsburgh, Pa./Westinghouse) will have an impact on their surroundings. Both are talented wrestlers ready to get started," finished coach Karadus.
"Our goals are to do well in order to tune up for conference play along with succeeding when we get there. We are eager to get back to reestablishing the program and continue to progress with each day."
Greater Allegheny wrestling looks to Saturday November 1, 2014, where they travel to Penn State Mont Alto for a dual-meet. The competition is set to begin at 7:45 a.m.
