Three Greater Allegheny Student-Athletes Earn USCAA Player of the Week Accolades

Allegheny student-athletes earn the USCAA
Player of the Week distinction for the week of October 8, 2013.
For men's soccer, freshman Michael Anderson (Herminie, Pa./Yough) earned Goalkeeper of the Week after he helped lead his team to victory this past week over PSUAC conference foe, Penn State Beaver. Anderson had 11 saves on the 25 total shots that he faced, ten of which included 10 corner kicks, only giving up one goal.
Men's cross country runner Rob Meier (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) earned the Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week nomination after he finished in 14th overall place in the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcat Invitational with a time of 19 minutes and 54 seconds.
On the women's side, freshman Rachel Ramsey (North Versailles, Pa./East Allegheny) earned the Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week distinction after she raced to finish 2nd overall at the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcat Invitational with a time of 21 minutes and 43 seconds.
