Phillips Takes USCAA Player of the Week Honors
Bryce Phillips of Penn State Greater Allegheny is the USCAA Division II Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Bryce led Penn State Greater Allegheny to a 3-0 week with victories over Dubois, Beaver & York.
In an 86-56 win over Penn State Dubois, Bryce finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds in only 21 minutes. Bryce was clutch in a 66-65 win over Beaver, scoring the game tying basket and game winning free throw with 11 seconds to play. Bryce finished that game with 23 points, 9 rebounds, 1 steal & 1 block. Finally, in Greater Allegheny's 97-77 victory over York, who was previously undefeated in the conference, Bryce was a force inside as he finished with 13 points and 16 rebounds, including 4 big offensive boards, as well as 4 assists, 1 steal & 1 block.
The team is now on a 3-wins streak trying to make their push towards a playoff run.
