PSUGA Golf Returning for 2018/2019

McKeesport, Pa. – The Penn State Greater Allegheny Athletic Department is excited to announce the return of Men’s and Women’s Golf for the 2018/2019 academic year. It will be the first time since the 2011/2012 season that PSUGA will have a golf team competing in both the Penn State University Athletic Conference and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.
The last time PSUGA had a golf team, during the 2011/2012 academic year, they finished in 3rd place in the PSUAC and 13th in the 2011 USCAA national tournament. New Head Coach Tyler Care, is looking to bring the program back and make it a competitive program now and for years to come.
PSUGA is looking for interested athletes to be a part of the revival of the golf team for the 2018/2019 academic year. Anyone, both male and female, can join no matter if you are an avid golfer or a first timer looking to learn the sport. The golf team will compete in the fall semester and play several tournaments around the PSUAC and will try to qualify for the 2018 USCAA National Golf Tournament.
