GA Men's Soccer Forward Nets Two in PSUAC Defeat

New Kensington, Pa. - Freshman forward Manoj Sharma (India/Baldwin) managed to score two goals in the 5-2 disadvantage yesterday, as the Penn State Greater Allegheny men's soccer team traveled to Penn State New Kensington for a PSUAC conference match-up.

Sharma notched two unassisted goals within three minutes of one another late in the second-half. Out of six shots taken, five of them were on goal. Freshman Teddie Akoi (Liberia/Penn Wood) and freshman Bengali Diane (New Jersey/James J.Ferris) contibuted three shots apiece to boost the GA offense.

Goalkeeper Michael Anderson (Herminie, Pa./Yough) only allowed one goal in the first-half, after he got peppered with 16 shots. Out of the 30 total shots faced all game, 18 of them were on goal. Depsite Greater Allegheny's efforts, the Lions went on to suffer 5-2.

GA is back in action Sunday, October 13th at Francis McClure. Kick-off is set for 3 p.m.
