Soccer vs. Mont Alto Postponed Due to Field Conditions
The PSUGA Soccer Team's PSUAC matchup with Penn State Mont Alto was postponed due to field conditions on Tuesday. A makeup date has not yet been announced and will be decided at a later date.
McKeesport, PA. – Tuesday’s Penn State University Athletic Conference soccer matchup between Penn State Greater Allegheny (3-2, 2-1) and Penn State Mont Alto (0-4-1, 0-1-1) has been postponed due to field conditions. Rain rolled through southwestern Pennsylvania soaking the natural grass surface forcing the postponement of today’s game.
PSUGA was looking for a bounce back effort after dropping their last contest to Penn State Brandywine 7-0 on Sunday. Now, they will have to wait until Saturday September 29th when they go on the road to take on Valley Forge in non-conference action at 4 p.m. PSU-Mont Alto was coming off of a tie with PSU-York and will retake the field on Friday September 28th against Penn State New Kensington.
Both teams will stand put in their positions in the PSUAC standings with PSUGA still holding onto the fourth position with a 2-1 conference record and Mont Alto sitting in sixth place with a conference record of 0-1-1.
A Make-up date has yet to be determined and will be announced at a later date. PSUGA will still be the home team and PSU-Mont Alto will be the away team for the makeup game whenever it is played.
