GA Wrestler Lago Takes First Place Victory in New Kensington Open
New Kensington, Pa. - Three of the five Penn State Greater Allegheny men's wrestling team members who traveled to compete in the Penn State New Kensington Open Saturday afternoon, placed in their specific weight class.
Junior Matt Lago (Jeannette, Pa./Penn-Trafford) competed well enough to earn himself the first place award for the 157 pound weight class. Freshman Colin Dalrymple (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) placed second overall at the 197 pound weight class. Freshman Marcus Slivinski (Plainville, Ct./Plainville) went on to win his first collegiate match, and earning himself the third place award for the 165 weight class.
