However, head coach Alyssa Finocchi and her team have not forgotten about the 3-1 loss they took to Point Park on their home court just two weeks ago. PSUGA played in front early on taking the first set 25-21 before the Pioneers came back to take the final three sets and win the match.
Point Park is looking for a rebound after their last matchup when they fell to Indiana University East 3-0. They dropped the first two sets by scores of 25-19 and 25-17 and faced elimination heading into the final set. The Pioneers wouldn’t go down without a fight forcing extra points in the final set, but they couldn’t get it done falling in the set 28-26 and losing the match 3-0.
Monday will be PSUGA Volleyball’s final tune-up before they start conference play on Wednesday against PSU-DuBois. The match-up on September 7th was the first time the two teams faced off as PSUGA is looking to even the all-time matchup after falling in the first contest.
